About Space Coast Academics

For the past 16 years, Angela Roberts has been a dedicated member of the local homeschool community. Her passion for supporting families in their homeschooling journey inspired her to create Space Coast Academics (SCA), a home education instructional program designed to empower students and families. Angela's vision for SCA goes beyond academics—she is committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where children can learn, grow, and thrive. By fostering a nurturing environment, she ensures that students have the support, encouragement, and resources they need to reach their full potential.

Mission Statement

At Space Coast Academics, we partner with families to support each student’s unique homeschool journey through a complete, high-quality academic curriculum. Our goal is to provide structured instruction, clear expectations, and personalized support while maintaining the flexibility that homeschooling allows. We believe that collaboration between teachers and parents is key to student success.

Homework Expectations

All assignments are posted weekly in our online portal, which both students and parents can access. Each lesson includes any necessary links and printable materials for convenience and clarity.

How much homework can my child expect?
SCA provides a full curriculum in every subject we teach. While we offer structure and guidance, we also honor your role as the primary educator. You have the final say in how assignments are completed at home.

  • Math: Students are expected to complete all assignments to keep up with the sequence of instruction.

  • English: Students should stay current on reading assignments, as in-class discussions depend on active engagement with the texts.

  • Other Subjects: Each course includes a full range of assignments designed to meet academic standards. We encourage completion of all assigned work, but recognize that parents may choose to adapt based on their child’s needs and schedule.

We will check in with you at the beginning of the year and throughout the semester to ensure our approach aligns with your homeschool goals. Together, we create a learning plan that works for your family.

Our services include individualized progress monitoring and assessments to track academic growth, lesson oversight for both in-person and online coursework (including platforms like Study.com), and documentation, such as report cards and transcripts.
