This engaging drama course provides a comprehensive introduction to theater arts, with a focus on acting, performance, and the creative elements behind the stage. Students will build confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills while exploring the many aspects of theatrical production. Through improvisation, script work, and live performance, students develop both individual expression and strong teamwork.

Course Highlights include:

Acting & Performance – Students explore character development, voice and movement techniques, monologues, and scene study, with opportunities to perform for classmates and live audiences.

Technical Theater – Students may be introduced to behind-the-scenes elements such as set design, lighting, costumes, and stage makeup, gaining an appreciation for the full production process.

Theater History & Appreciation – Students learn about different theatrical styles, time periods, and cultural traditions while developing the ability to analyze and discuss plays.

Improvisation – Fun improv games and activities help students think quickly, build confidence, and strengthen ensemble skills.

Production Experience – Classes may work together to produce scenes, short plays, or a full performance, with opportunities to participate as actors, directors, or stage crew.

End-of-Semester Project – Students demonstrate their growth through performances, presentations, or creative portfolios.

Skills Developed:

This course is designed to be supportive, creative, and engaging for both beginners and experienced students.

Registration:
To begin the registration process, please complete the Student Information Form. Once submitted, you will receive an email with your student’s registration status and next steps.

Please note that registration is not considered complete until all required family forms have been submitted and the registration and material fees have been paid.

Refund Policy

EMA Direct-Pay Funds: Payments made using EMA direct-pay funds are non-refundable once processed. However, credit may be issued for future classes.

  • Tuition: $300 / semester

  • Material Fee: $50

    • A material fee is required to secure your child’s spot in Fall 2025 classes. This fee covers student coursebooks and all necessary class supplies.

    Refund Policy

    • EMA Direct-Pay Funds: Payments made using EMA direct-pay funds are non-refundable once processed. However, credit will be issued toward future classes.

    • Full Refunds: Cancellations made at least 4 weeks prior to the class start date are eligible for a full refund.

    • Filling Your Spot: If you cancel within 4 weeks of the class start date and your spot is successfully filled, a full refund will be issued.

    • Partial Refunds: Cancellations made between 2 and 4 weeks prior to the class start date are eligible for a 50% refund.

    • No Refunds: Cancellations made during the semester are not eligible for refunds.
